Features

RX-701AS is a small foot print yet high capacity soldering station. With a wide variety of tips it offers excellent cost performance ratio. The highly dependable insulated transformer provides 24V output for the soldering unit and assures safe soldering. The RX-701AS series with its variable temperature setting range of from 200°C; to 450°C along with tip heat recovery is a low cost model. The iron handpiece is small and light weight. Silicone rubber grip assures comfort and reduces fatigue during consecutive soldering.

RX-701 AS Control Panel

Sensor which is integrated with the new simple ceramic heater and the control circuit designed after careful study, a 60W large heat capacity allows faster temperature recovery during heavy soldering, reducing the reaction time even at lower temperature setting.

The zero-volt switch circuit controls the heater power ON-OFF by using the temperature feedback system. This ensures low noise and keeps the tip temperature stable for IC and CMOS components.

EASY TO USE
The soldering handpiece is balanced to assure comfortable operation. The heater assembly is connectorized, replacement is simple and easy.
HIGH INSULATION, HIGHLY RELIABLE 24V OUTPUT
The heater is completely isolated from the input power by the transformer. This assures that the operator will be safe from electrical shock. As the heater voltage is only 24V, precision electronic components can be soldered safely. The insulation resistance between the tip and the power cord plug is over 1000MW (450°C 500V DC).
LEAKAGE IS GREATLY REDUCED BY PROPER GROUNDING
The grounded tip along with the grounded plug ensures that precision components are safe from damage caused by leakage voltage when plugged into a properly grounded outlet.
COMPLIANCE WITH ISO 9000
The protective cover secured with a screw prevents any accidental temperature and other setting changes.

Tip / Nozzle Temperature Stability

The characteristic above was obtained by melting solder consecutively on 5 x 5mm PCB land size and simultaneously measuring tip temperature.

2 DIFFERENT TIP HEAT CAPACITIES TO COVER A WIDE RANGE OF SOLDERING APPLICATIONS

With the RX-701 series, the M type soldering iron and a variety of tips allow precision component soldering. With the RX-701L series, the L type soldering iron and tips are available for soldering of large components that require a large heat capacity. The changing between the M type soldering iron of your control unit and the L type soldering unit is quick and easy. The tips for M type soldering iron can also be used on PX-501/601 series soldering stations (Tip model designation : PX-60RT series). The RX-70LRT series tip model designation can only be used with the L type soldering iron.
