Wire Wrap Tool For
High Density Terminal Boards
We introduce the series 5000 and series 7500 Micro-Bit wire wrapping and unwrapping tools. These tools are designed for wrapping wire on .016 in. (0.4mm) square terminals in high-density connectors with pin center distances of .050 in. and .075 in. (1.27mm and 1.9mm)
The 5000 series is designed to work with .050 in. (1.27mm) pin spacing. The extreme density of these connectors make the use of conventional wire wrap tool designs impractical; there is no space to permit the use of a sleeve on the working end. Thus, the 5000 series Micro-Bit requires the use of a sleeve whose only function is to control bit rotation in a power tool.
The 7500 series is designed to work with .075 in. (1.9mm) pin spacing and are conventional wire wrap tools.
Both series are very small tools and require extra care when wire wrapping these applications.
